Pets are not just animals; they become a part of our soul, our daily life, our family. Zoe, my beautiful Turkish Angora cat, was just that for me — a companion, a joy, and a part of my heart.

I bought Zoe from a pet adoption store. The moment I saw her, I knew she was special. Her soft white fur, curious eyes, and gentle nature captured my heart instantly. I cared for her deeply, and she returned that love with her playful purrs, little cuddles, and warm presence.

But life has its unexpected turns. One day, a stray cat came and ate from Zoe’s food bowl. In the rush of daily life, I forgot to wash it before feeding Zoe. That small mistake changed everything. Soon after, Zoe fell ill with a high fever. I did everything I could — nursing her, comforting her, praying she would recover.

Eventually, she was diagnosed with a blood parasite. Her condition worsened day by day. I admitted her to the hospital, hoping for a miracle. But her tiny body couldn’t fight it anymore. She passed away.

Losing Zoe was like losing a piece of myself. I cried endlessly. She was my first cat, and I loved her more than words can express. Her absence still feels like a quiet ache in my heart.

I’m sharing this not just as a memory of my beloved Zoe, but as a message for every cat owner: Please take care of your pet’s hygiene.
